The Gathering is all about giving God the GLORY for what is taking place in our lives. As sons and daughters of God, we live lives that praise and worship Him for all He has done for us. We do this together and in private.

Micah & tabitha McCoy

Micah and Tabitha McCoy are the lead Pastors of The Gathering, and together, they have a daughter named Ruth. They have both lived in the Lancaster, Ohio area their entire lives and are passionate about spreading the hope of Jesus to this region. Pastor Micah is ordained through the Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee) and has spent most of his life dedicated to serving in the church body. The McCoys are passionate about equipping people to be all that God has called them to be.

we believe..

  • In the verbal inspiration of the Bible.
  • In one God eternally existing in three persons; namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
  • That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead. That He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.
  • That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins.
  • That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
  • In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word, and by the Holy Ghost.
  • Holiness to be God’s standard of living for His people.
  • In the baptism with the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is evident by the fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit.
  • In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
  • In the Lord’s Supper and washing of the saints’ feet.
  • In the premillennial second coming of Jesus. First, to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on the earth a thousand years.
  • In the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT IF I COME TO A SUNDAY GATHERING? At The Gathering, we are all about spending time in the presence of God. We believe that the spirit of the living God is real and desires to have relationship with each one of us. On a typical Sunday morning, we spend time in worship and dig into God's word together. However, we do not stick to a strict timeline and we are never in a hurry to leave. We simply want to spend time with God and with one another in community
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO THE GATHERING? All are welcome at The Gathering! If you want to wear a fancy dress, or a three-piece suit, you are welcome. If you want to wear ripped jeans and a T-shirt, you are welcome. We will be thrilled to meet you either way!
DOES THE GATHERING HAVE ANYTHING FOR MY KIDS ON SUNDAY MORNINGS? All ages are welcome in our main sanctuary, however, for mothers with little ones, we have a nursery available that looks into the sanctuary so that you can take care of your baby and also be involved in the service. We also have a class for any child fifth grade or below. This class takes place directly after our time of worship when children are invited to go into the cildren's room if they wish.
